Alaska Adventure Therapy is dedicated to supporting empowered, connected, and authentic living through quality counseling and outdoor experiences.
Our Team
Hailey Robertson, founder and owner of Alaska Adventure Therapy LLC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). Her experience in the backcountry, accompanied by her background in clinical mental health counseling, provides holistic and healing opportunities for diverse individuals.
Born and raised in Alaska, Robertson began co-facilitating and leading outdoor recreational groups approximately fifteen years ago. She has coordinated a broad range of activities for children, adolescents, families, and adults, including hiking, backpacking, canoeing, mountain biking, running, and cross-country skiing. Her favorite activities include spending time with friends and family outside, attending cultural events, traveling to new places, camping, and taking silent moments by the sea.
Robertson obtained a MA of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands in 2021. In response to her work with diverse populations, Robertson was awarded the NBCC Minority Fellowship through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). Robertson has provided therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of presenting problems such as anxiety, depression, relational conflicts, trauma and stress, life transitions, neurodivergence, and burnout. Her passion for holistic care, through the integration of nature-based practices in mental services, seeks to support community wellness through a non-stigmatizing approach. Robertson’s professional trainings include but are not limited to IFS, EMDR and Ecotherapy-Informed EMDR, ARC Framework, and Motivational Interviewing. She attended the 2022 International Adventure Therapy Conference in Norway to learn from the world’s leading practitioners and researchers of Adventure Therapy. Additionally, she is working toward Maternal Mental Health certification. Hailey’s values in the therapeutic relationship include: collaboration, authenticity, and connection.
Services
Individual and Group Therapy
One-on-one sessions are offered via telehealth or outdoor therapy. It is standard practice to begin with telehealth sessions to clarify therapeutic goals and determine whether outdoor therapy is an appropriate fit.
Individual and group therapy can support a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, burnout, and life transitions. Individual services are tailored to each client using empirically supported approaches. Group offerings are developed based on current community needs. Please contact us directly to inquire about available groups and scheduling.
We do not accept insurance directly. However, we provide superbills that may be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. In accordance with the No Surprises Act, we are transparent about our fees and policies. If you have questions about costs or coverage, we encourage you to contact us prior to your appointment.
Therapeutic Adventures & Consultation
Therapeutic Adventures (TAs) are intentionally designed outdoor experiences that support overall wellness and well-being. Based on individual needs and preferences, TAs offer flexible, nature-based options tailored to specific goals.
Examples of Therapeutic Adventures may include:
A five-day group retreat in a remote setting with a defined therapeutic focus
A one-on-one, half-day outdoor experience in the Front Range centered on personal goals
Therapeutic Adventures may benefit individuals, couples, or families who are seeking to enhance well-being through immersive experiences in wilderness or outdoor spaces.
Consultation Services are contracted offerings designed to support community, organizational, or corporate wellness initiatives. Consultation may be beneficial for:
For-profit organizations or agencies seeking outdoor-based team-building experiences or leadership retreats
Non-profit organizations aiming to provide respite, reduce burnout, or establish healthier routines and rhythms for staff and volunteers
Therapeutic Adventures and consultation services are not a replacement for traditional counseling or psychotherapy. Due to the customized and flexible nature of these offerings, fees are determined following collaborative planning to establish the scope and overall cost of services.
Life is meant to live empowered. We can support you along your journey.
